The film has opening to around 35-40 % in the early morning shows and pre-noon shows. The opening is lower than films like Sanju and Race 3 but it is close to 2.0. The film has got a humongous release of around 4350 screens making it the joint fourth biggest release alongside Sultan. The other three big releases are Thugs of Hindostan, Tiger Zinda Hai and Tubelight. Zero is definitely the biggest release of 2018 ahead of Race 3, Sanju and 2.0. The opening day numbers of the film should be between Race 3 and 2.0 if we go by the current trends at the box office.
The film has to pick up well during the evening and night shows because it is dependent on the response of family audience for a long and sustained run at the box office. Saturday and Sunday hold the key for the film.The release of the film is in the most lucrative release period of Bollywood so even a decent word of mouth will help the film in long run.
