Zero 1st Day Friday Box Office Collection is 19 crore. Shah Rukh Khan's Zero First Day Collections is the 8th Highest Opening Day Business of 2018 behind Thugs of Hindustan, Sanju, Race 3, Baaghi 2, Gold, Satyamev Jayate and 2.0.

Zero first day business is bit underwhelming to be honest. Considering the budget, star cast, director's track record, release size and the promotions around the film, a 25 crore first day would have been good for the film. The first day numbers are close of Rajinikanth - Akshay Kumar's 2.0 although that film lead in north whereas Zero leads in South owing to the limited release of the Hindi version of 2.0 down South.

The film fared decently well in territories like Delhi, West Bengal, Bangalore etc. Mumbai is average for the film. The mass centers are sub par for the film considering the fact that it had the elements which click at mass centers. For a long run, it has to work both at single screens and multiplexes since the budget of the film is quite high.

The film opened decently at the box office yesterday but couldn't show major growth in evening and night shows at the box office which resulted in an average first day at the box office. The film has huge scope of growth today considering the average first day number at the box office. To utilize the lucrative Christmas period, the film has to grow by a good margin today and tomorrow otherwise it will be difficult for film to hit these numbers even on the day of Christmas. The growth on Saturday and Sunday will give the initial signals of the word of mouth from the family audience - the main target audience of the film.

The film needs around 200 crore plus nett from India to break even at the box office and to come close to those numbers, the film has to trend well at the box office. The film has a one week uninterrupted run at the box office and it has to capitalize on this to aim at a big lifetime number.
