URI : The Surgical Strike 1st Day Box Office Collections - The film had an excellent first day at the box office as the film surpassed all the expectations from the trade to collect over 8 crore on its opening day at the box office.

The kind of start the film has taken clearly shows if the promos of the film are good then a film does not need a big star or a superstar to get a good enough start at the box office, handful of films in 2018 proved that and now 2019 has started on a similar note.
Uri opened to around 30% occupancy in the morning but showed good growth as the day progressed it ended up at around 50-55%.
The film should emerge as the first hit film of 2019 if it shows normal growth over the weekend.
