Force 2 stars John Abraham, Sonakshi Sinha and Tahir Raj Bhasin in pivotal roles. The movie is a sequel to 2011 film Force, which was a Flop at the Box Office. Does the sequel deliver? Find out:
The basic plot of Force 2 is about how RAW teams up with ACP Yashvardhan to track down Shiv Kumar who is on a mission to assassinate undercover agents in China. While the film has ample to offer in terms of action sequences, the presentation is done to death and the films lacks the novelty factor.
The major pluses of the film include the high octane action and chase sequences shot at exotic locales of Budapest backed by heart thumping background score. However as far as the story and screenplay is concerned, the film goes on a back foot.
The director fails to establish any sort of connect with the lead characters despite having a core emotional backstory for all of them. The film has a lot of one-liners which will be received well by the single screen audiences.
Talking about the performances, John Abraham excels as ACP Yashvardhan. The actor capitalizes on his limited ability to emote since the character demands the same and performs the action sequences with utmost conviction. Sonakshi Sinha does not have much to offer in terms of performance as well as action. Her part is badly written but had the potential to be an remarkable one in her career. Tahir Raj Bhasin is the best amongst the entire lot of actors in the film and adds his own distinct touch to the character of the antagonist.
To sum up, Force 2 can be watched for the action sequences and locations however the ones expecting a gritty action thriller would come out being disappointed.
