R… Rajkumar Third Week and LifeTime Box Office Collection

Prabhu Dheva’s Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha starrer R… Rajkumar collected around 55 lakhs in its third week and will end its run at 64 cr. The film dropped heavily in its third week because of the huge release of  the biggest movie of the year Dhoom 3. R…Rajkumar was left with very few screens in its third week and thus the film managed to collected a paltry sum of 55 lakhs. The film has ended its run after collecting an amount of 64 cr in its lifetime which is huge for a Shahid Kapoor starrer. The film has collected around 9.60 cr from the overseas market thus taking the total worldwide gross to around 94 cr.

The film did very well in mass centers like Maharashtra, Gujarat, CP Berar, CI, Rajasthan, Bihar and Nizam where the film collected its prime share. The share from the big urban cities were low but on the steady side. All the distributors have got decent profits from the film and the producers too have got a good amount of profit in spite of its huge cost (55 cr-43+12 P&A) courtesy the satellite rights  and other revenues.

Shahid Kapoor tasted his first  success after going through a lean patch of around 4 years. Even Sonakshi Sinha tasted her first success this year as she has had a string of under-performers in Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbai Dobara, Lootera and Bullett Raja. Even Prabhu Dheva got back to his winning track after the under-performing Ramaiyaa Vastavaiyaa. This film is a welcome change for everyone involved in the film. The film has performed well at the box office and is  the highest grosser of  Shahid Kapoor crossing Kaminey (41.92 cr) by a big margin(~22 cr approx) in India.
