Mission Raniganj has sold around 5500 tickets for opening day in PIC Chains till 5th Oct, 11 PM. The film has stayed 30 % below the advance booking of Selfiee (8K).
The full fledged advance booking of Mission Raniganj has opened today
Mission Raniganj is looking at release size of around 2200-2500 Screens and the final screen count won't be available before tomorrow evening.
There are multiple releases this weekend and everyone will want some share of the pie so there will be fight for the showcasing till the last moment.
Mission Raniganj will rely on support from Metros (Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata etc) to score some numbers on Day 1. These kind of films are not advance booking friendly and they rely on walk-ins on the opening day at the box office normally.
Mission Raniganj is Akshay Kumar's third movie release this year after Selfie and OMG 2. Akshay is coming off after the super successful Oh My God 2 which surprised the audience with its content quality.
Similarly, OMG 2 surprised the entire Bollywood trade with its strong box office collections inspite of clashing with Sunny Deol's Mega Blockbuster Gadar 2 so Akshay Kumar will be high on confidence inspite of clash this time around as well.
