Merry Christmas 1st Day Friday Box Office Collection is 2.25 crore in Hindi and 0.25 crore from Tamil & Telugu version and the numbers are on the expected lines.
Merry Christmas will need to showcase big jumps over the weekend to have any chance at the box office. The period is lucrative and there is no competition in sight for the next 12 days up until Fighter so there is optimum market space if the film finds any appreciation.
Although Merry Christmas is a bilingual film and has a name like Vijay Sethupathi but the collections haven't transalted well enough in the Tamil version as far as initial numbers are concerned.
Merry Christmas is targeting the niche high end multiplex urban audiences so we will have to see how this audience demography is reacting to Merry Christmas as such films haven't worked post pandemic.
The collections on Saturday will give an initial indication of the word of mouth of the film.
