The Akshay Kumar - Parineeti Chopra starrer Mission Raniganj 1st Day Collection is around 2.8 crore.
Mission Raniganj has failed to even cross 30 % of Akshay's last release Oh My God 2's Opening Day Collection inspite of a bigger release and negligible competiton.
The opening was poor across board with shows hardly registering occupancies and that was expected with such genres but not with a star like Akshay Kumar. The film made no progress through out the day and the collections remained horrendous.
Mission Raniganj has released on a huge 2500 Screens and it's a disastrous distribution planning since these kinds of films shouldn't be given more than 1700-1800 screens initially and controlled showcasing helps in building more occupancy for the film.
Mission Raniganj opening day collection is higher than Selfiee but then again these kinds of comparison are more embarrasing than anything. You shouldn't be counting these victories as anything because Selfiee was a Box Office Disaster.
