Article 370 Day 1 Friday Collection Indicate an Opening Day Business of around 5.5 crores which is very good and much higher than the initial trade expectations.
Article 370 has scored a good opening day number with strong support in the multiplexes courtesy the Cinema Lovers Day (Rs 99) Ticket Pricing as that has helped the film put up strong occupancy through out the day
The pre release expectations from Article 370 were less than half of the current number but it changed once the Advance Booking opened and tickets were selling at good pace.
With a opening day number like this and costs involved, Article 370 can comfortably be called a success in normal scenarios but here it is aided by Rs 99 Ticket Prices on Friday so we will have to wait and see the trend on the weekend before officially declaring it as a success.
If the word of mouth is good enough, Article 370 can really surprise at the box office considering the subject matter of the film.
