Thalapathy Vijay's Next Movie tentatively titled 'Thalapathy 68' Audio (Music) Rights have been sold to T-Series for 21 Crores, an All Time Record Price for Tamil Films beating Vijay's last film Leo (16 crores) by a big margin.
Thalapathy 68 has already started its first shooting schedule from 3rd October. The film is currently tentatively planned for 2024 Diwali Release depending on the VFX delivery timelines.
The makers have been tight lipped about the plot of the film but it has been confirmed from various sources that Thalapathy Vijay might be playing a double role - a son and father in the Venkat Prabhu directorial.
The director had shared a post on Twitter, which showed the team along with Thalapathy Vijay travelling to the USA to do some test shoots to use a de-ageing technology in the film, similar to the one used in Shah Rukh Khan's Fan, to showcase Thalapathy in a younger version.
The makers today unveiled the official cast of the film in a elaborate video shot on the launch pooja (Muhurat) of the film.
